Our family’s connection to commercial fishing goes back to Washington Island and Bayfield in the late 1920s, when Dan’s grandfather, Dan Lindal, first stepped onto the docks with a head full of ideas and a knack for doing things differently. His innovative approach and hard‑working spirit helped build a fishery known for integrity, grit, and a deep respect for the water.

Three generations later, we’re still carrying that legacy forward. In 2007, our family shaped those decades of experience into what is now Lindal Fisheries — a small, family‑run operation rooted in tradition and committed to sustainable Great Lakes fishing.
